Flu Vaccination
Flu vaccinations on December 10, 2025, on the Uniplatz campus
Real viral flu (influenza) is not a simple cold, but a serious illness. People with chronic illnesses, people over the age of 60, and pregnant women in particular should get vaccinated, as these population groups are at increased risk of serious complications from the disease.
The flu vaccination should be administered every year, preferably in October or November. After vaccination, it takes approximately 10 to 14 days for the body to build up sufficient protection against infection.
The OVGU's Occupational and Student Health Management department is once again offering flu vaccinations for all university members this year.
